Autumn is already here and have you noticed that the weather is starting to cool down? Check out our list of Beautiful Queensland Walking Trails to Enjoy This Autumn.
O’Reilly’ Tree Top Walks
Explore The Mountview Alpaca Farm where you can feed and walk an Alpaca through the lush O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards grounds. Feeling adventurous? You can even book an Alpaca Picnic! The Tree Top Walk is really popular because of the bird’s eye view of the rainforest canopy as you walk along a series of suspension bridges 16 metres above the ground. For extra adventurous, climb a ladder heading up a Strangler Fig!

Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mount Coot-tha
If you are looking for a relaxing stroll with your date, the Japanese Garden is very calming. Explore one or all of the three self-guided trails available and enjoy a beautiful picnic afterwards. Pack a light lunch or you can always get some yummy takeaways from The Gardens Café, Abode Cafe, The Spot Specialty Coffee and Cat & Fiddle nearby.
Address: Mt. Coot-tha Road Toowong, Brisbane, Queensland 4066 Australia
Lake Eden – North Lakes
You will love Lake Eden for the stunning body of water surrounded by parks and boardwalks while you enjoy a meaningful conversation. If you feel like it, spread a blanket on the grass, lay out that baguette, cured ham, and cheeses, and really just let your hair down. Bring a blanket and get cosy… why not? For coffee and snacks there is always the Boardwalk Restaurant, The Brew Testament or The Fort Specialty Coffee nearby.
Address: Lake Eden, North Lakes QLD 4509
Daisy Hill Conservation Park
Have you ever been here? Daisy Hill Conservation Park is actually nestled between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and is part of the Koala Bushland Coordinated Conservation Area. Not only is it the perfect place to enjoy walks and hikes, The Daisy Hill picnic area and the Daisy Hill trail hub provide picnic and barbecue facilities with two undercover seating areas. Gather your friends and/or family and have a nice BBQ in this nice weather.
Address: Daisy Hill Road, Daisy Hill.
Bellbird Grove, D’Aguilar National Park
Another great option for walks is Bellbird Grove which is close to the city. In fact, it is only 10 minutes drive from The Gap. It is really interesting, with gunyahs and an old gold mine. Yes! Try the Golden Boulder Circuit, a 1.8km walk that you can do within 1 hour return. A bushwalk with a historical edge, this gently sloping circuit meanders through the sparsely treed intriguing remains of ‘Golden Boulder’, one of the three goldmines that from 1860 to the 1930s saw the surrounding hills crawling with gold prospectors, some of whom lost their minds. That would make for an interesting chat along the way.
Address: Bellbird Grove Road, Enoggera Reservoir QLD 4520
